We left San Diego this morning after having a wonderful stay and enjoying the zoo! Today was a fairly boring day of driving as we made our way north to San Luis Obispo. We did not take a SINGLE picture today, which makes up for the number of pictures we took yesterday! We jumped on the interstate heading north first, before exiting to take the Pacific Coast Highway. Initially it was a fairly boring drive along the coast without exciting views. Before we got to LA, we hopped back on the interstate to continue north. After we got through the craziness of LA, we got back off and onto the PCH. The sections of the PCH we traveled, however, we’re not very exciting. They weren’t well marked, and we ended up on 101 a few times because the PCH just ended. We did have a nice lunch on the beach in Malibu. It was literally on the beach, when you opened the door to head outside it immediately lead to sand! Eventually, we did end up on a nice section of the PCH just outside of San Luis Obispo. However, it still wasn’t much to write home about, and didn’t even compare to the drives we had in Arizona and California before we got to San Diego. I expect tomorrow to be much different as the PCH looks much windier and has very few towns between here and San Francisco. Hopefully tomorrow will bring better sights and better driving!
