We returned to the Grand Canyon for lunch and to hike part of the Bright Angel trail. We descended approximately 1000ft on our mile hike. The trail was 4-5 ft wide, which definitely made Erin nervous at some parts. Erin spent most of the day telling Jason “don’t go out there” or “don’t do that.”
We decided to find a different spot for the sunset. We drove east towards Desert View and found a somewhat secluded area to watch the sunset. It provided a much different view of the Canyon at sunset, which was again spectacular.
We have a fairly busy agenda tomorrow. We might try and go see a sunrise at the Canyon…depending if Erin wants to get up at 5am (sunrise is at 5:30). We will then head to Sedona and spend most of the day there hiking, before heading to Prescott for the night.
Oh Man now I am really jealous! The Grand Canyon was bad enough but I LOVE Sedona!!! If you go the way that goes through Flagstaff try lunch at the Beaver Street Brewery....yes the food is good too!
ReplyDeleteSedona is one of our favorite places too!
